National Doctors’ Day Celebration

S.D.M. P.U. College, Honnavar, celebrated National Doctors’ Day on 2 July 2026 to honour the invaluable contributions of doctors to society.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Gajanan S. Bhat, a renowned urologist and distinguished alumnus of the college, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. On the occasion, Dr. Gajanan S. Bhat was felicitated in recognition of his remarkable achievements in the field of urology and his outstanding contributions to medical research through numerous publications in reputed international journals.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Raju T. Malagimani, Principal of S.D.M. P.U. College. Shri Krishnamoorthy Bhat Shivani, President of M.P.E. Society, addressed the gathering and appreciated the dedicated service rendered by medical professionals. Dr. D. L. Hebbar, PRO of M.P.E. Society, Shri Vijay Kamath, members of the management committee, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students were present on the occasion.
